Automatic pressure release valve can be adjusted from “auto” for frying to “off” for steaming. Set valve to “auto” when frying for browning and crispy results. Automatic pressure valve can be turned to “off” for steaming vegetables. Warning: Recommended for electric or induction stoves. If used on a gas stove, make sure that the flame does not come up the side of the pan, because the burner flame may cause damage to the silicone rim.
