Kintos Ceramic Lab range balances orderly, neat designs with the warm patterns of sandstone native to the Nagasaki prefecture of Japan, where it is manufactured. Many transformations occur in this unique porcelain, which is ultra-sensitive to temperature and humidity when firing. This results in a speckled, scorched-looking pattern called yo-hen. The natural unevenness of this effect is balanced by orderly, neat shapes and a sharp delineation between the textured bottom and smooth sides. This Teapotfeatures a large, easy-to-clean strainer; a pouring spout designed to prevent dripping; and a large, comfortable handle. It matches well with the cups in the Ceramic Lab range.

Do not overheat heat empty or without water in the microwave, and avoid using abrasive scrubbers or steel wool. Due to the unique nature of this pottery, pieces may vary slightly in patterns and shapes.
