The Gastrolux Biotan Plus Non-Stick Wok is a staff and customer favourite for many reasons. The thick, sturdy base, with integrated magnets for induction hobs, retains heat very well, ensuring every piece of your stir-fry stays hot. This also helps protect the non-stick coating from overheating, making it more durable than most standard non-sticks. The removable, stay-cool handle contains no screws or loose parts. With a simple click, you can detach the pan so it can go in the oven (up to 260C) and attach it back just as easily, no glove required. Every pan is made of recycled cast aluminium and hand-layered with Biotan Plus, a unique PFOA-free non-stick finish that has been reinforced with bio-minerals. Biotan Plus is a coveted trade secret, notable for how easily it releases food, requiring very little oil, and how long the non-stick effect lasts. The coating is approved and certified food-safe by the Danish Technology Institute. This wok also comes with a wire tempura rack that sits on the rim, allowing you to drain oil from ingredients that you’ve already cooked and keep them warm.
