Authentic Mexican Cooking Class

Learn the foundational skills and techniques behind Mexican cuisine in this hands-on cookery class.

—DETAILS—

Authentic Mexican cooking goes beyond following a recipe. Its all about a tactile experience, from feeling the texture of masa to grinding ingredients in a pestle and mortar. In this hands-on class, you learn to make tortillas and tamales (masa harina steamed in corn husks). Well teach you how to build layers of flavour through traditional sauces such as mole and salsa verde, giving you the confidence to attempt all its different variations at home. At the end of the class, you will sit down to enjoy all the dishes weve cooked, from cabbage al pastor to huaraches (a variation on tortillas that will become a staple dish at your house).

Age Restriction: 18+, or 16+ accompanied by an adult also attending the class

Alcohol Policy: A glass of wine, beer, or a soft drink is included with the price of every cook school ticket. Please bring valid ID with you as we operate a ‘Challenge 25’ policy, where we reserve the right to check ID for any students under or around the age of 25. Any student who arrives to class intoxicated, or appears to be so during class, will be asked to leave and not qualify for a refund.

Cancellation Policy: You must contact us 10 working days before your class to be eligible for a full refund. You can transfer your seat to a different class up to 5 days before your class date. As this is a live ticketed event, we cannot make any exceptions. For our full T&C’s, click here.
